Clare English, former BBC presenter, broadcast journalist and current affairs specialist. She has covered Westminster politics for BBC Radio Scotland and worked for BBC Radio 4 for six years, presenting PM, the drive time programme with Eddie Mair. Clare’s later  BBC Scotland years included presenting shows on the arts and culture, special documentaries and projects including an ambitious initiative for mental health.

Since leaving the BBC she has hosted a range of high profile  events:  International Women's Day, Unicef, Street Soccer Scotland and TedxGlasgow.

Most recently her work has taken her into the scientific sphere, working in media training and communications. Keenly interested in social affairs, she’s an  ardent advocate for  “equality of opportunity” with specific interest in education and confidence , women's issues.  

Clare also  curates, produces and hosts  a podcast, RIPPLES -  about the unintended consequences of big events or decisions. She sits as a non - exec on the board of Women's Enterprise Scotland and describes herself as a "communicator and a connector’ .
