Participate in TEDxGlasgow
TEDxGlasgow is a not-for-profit organisation and our events would not be possible without the support of volunteers, performers, partners, speakers and of course, the attendees.
This year’s event will take place on Friday June 12th in Glasgow’s Tramway Theatre and will explore the theme ‘Why Not Here?’. Whether you want to volunteer, support or attend, make sure you get involved in what is sure to be another inspiring event.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxGlasgow, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxGlasgow events, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Every year we look for speakers to participate in our events. From charity volunteers and fundraisers, to professionals, enthusiasts or doctors, TEDx speakers usually have one thing in common; passion in their field of expertise or interest, a passion that transcends and inspires.
For TEDxGlasgow 2015, speakers will grace the famous red circle carpet to discuss the theme ‘Why Not Here’? If you know someone who you believe would inspire and engage our attendees, you can nominate them online today.
