Participate in TEDxGlasgow

TEDxGlasgow is a not-for-profit organisation and our events would not be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers, performers, partners, speakers and of course, the attendees.

This year’s event took place on Friday June 12th in Glasgow’s Tramway Theatre and explored the theme ‘Why Not Here?’. If you’d like to get involved for 2016, whether as a volunteer, to support or to attend, you can find out here how you can participate in TEDxGlasgow.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxGlasgow, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxGlasgow events, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

For TEDxGlasgow 2015, speakers graced the famous red circle carpet to discuss the theme ‘Why Not Here’? Our amazing line-up inspired and challenged preconceptions. Find out more about the 2015 speakers here.

They are our raison d’être and it really is no exaggeration that we wouldn’t be here without them. So, we wanted to get inside the head of one of our TEDxGlasgow 2015 event volunteers and Erin Macleod very kindly offered up her…
